Philadelphia Light Horse Flag

Philadelphia Light Horse flag is made of durable nylon so it will stand up well to wind and sun damage.  Finished with canvas heading and solid brass grommets.  Brilliant colors.  Made in America by Annin Flagmakers, the nation's oldest and largest flag manufacturer.  Annin has produced flags since 1847.  Three x five feet.

The Philadelphia Light Horse flag was the first to feature thirteen stripes, each representing a colony.  The flag of the first American armed force, the Philadelphia City Cavalry, the Light Horse was established as the first Colonial troop without ties to Britain.  Americans fought under this banner at the Battles of Trenton, Princeton and Brandywine.
